fifth business

I just realized that the email address that I use for sending resumes has been down for 5 days. I was expecting an email/phone call from a company I interviewed with at the end of this last week. Here’s hoping they sent it friday and responding tomorrow evening when the problem is fixed isnt too big of a deal

I am working on yet another website layout. I am procrastinating like you would not believe. I really dislike building websites, or rather I dont enjoy setting them up for the first few hours. After that I am fine but the initial building of the tables and making sure all the content is in the right place drives me nuts until I remember what each abbreviated code stands for and I can actually remember what it says.

In brighter news ad old friend emailed me last night to do some emergency work. Will post images after it’s been approved.

I should be working. I continue to tell myself that. However the rain wont stop pouring down, the office is freezing, Im not entirely sure what I am supposed to be doing, and there is no one here to ask. Not that these are good reasons or valid excuses by any means, it’s just that I am so tired of doing templates. Not that I dont love the challenge of coming up with new idea’s, its just not as satisfying as custom designs.

So far today I have made 5 door hangers. I could have made twice that if I had been applying some real work ethic, and if the office manager didnt want to chat my ear off (sweet woman, talks a lot, Amanda does not have a good attention span). Hopefully after this post I can bring myself to work a bit harder, and get around to making some new business card templates, or postcard templates.

I continue to calculate prices for my airfare to Toronto in October fearing I may not be able to afford it, which would be tragic. I really do need to travel more, and travel to see my friends. Speaking of friends I hung out with B last night, watched some movies, ate the worlds WORST pizza ever, talked about some bitch we both hate, and then philosophy. Im sure the latter things go hand in hand, Camus and Kafka probably bitched about that jock who gave the wedgies all the time. I really missed B’s presence in my life, and am mad at myself for being upset with her the last few weeks.

This week has been something else.

Wednesday was a day from hell. I viewed apartments all day in freezing rain, fell on some ice and bruised my ass. 2 of the apartments were dives, 2 were too expensive for bachelors and 1 was almost perfect but the landlord never called me.

Thursday I hung out with Zoe in the morning, and then I had a meeting with a potential employer* and the meeting went even longer than I anticipated. I stopped in at the ‘new’ asian market next to Gregs place and picked up some foods. Which were so good that I am now addicted to the market. That night I made an character on Gregs World of Warcraft** account.  And now I am addicted. RAR. Like I dont haveenough vices. hehe oh well.

Friday we spent ding nothing. Its nice to just hang out with him sometimes.

* I am doing a bit of work right now for her. (typography)

So… Ive changed the layout again. But for the mother fucking life of me, I cannot get the damn post background to change. Some genius put an image in the background so I have to change that, but it never repeats properly when i change it. *siiigh* i need to get a new custom tweakable layout. STAT
