The other day I spit out a painting in less than an hour. Although it isnt entirely done it does have 90% of the detailing i want on it.

I still need to detail the hand facing us, and then figure out where the other is in relation. As well as smooth some of the stickier points where the paint pulled away.

In the last month I have done several of the things on my 101 list.

- Paint a large scale oil
- Have an Art Show
- Buy a fancy Dress (its being shipped right now YAY)
- Network

If I sell even just one of my paintings, I am going to use the money to transfer all of my film to disk, and print some large scale photo’s. Since I am having another artshow in October with photography I figure I should actually get some of it ready. Whoops.

I honestly cant remember when this photo was taken but I am pretty sure it was before
they made me talk about my art work. As you can tell I am giddy and repleat with awesome
in this photo. So it must be prior to the explosion.

Awesome parties are nothing with out awesome friends. This is Stephanie. For some nut
job reason she thinks I am awesome, and I think she is awesome. Therefor we won.

Everyday I think about writing in my blog, and every day I put it off just a little more.

Last week was my art show which went very well, until they made me talk about my art work. Amanda + people + Microphone = BAD(!!!) Anyways after that catastrophe was done with I got to hang out with my very awesome friends, listen to some very awesome music, talk to some interesting new people and chill the hell out. Afterwards Greg took me out for yummy sushi.

Two weeks ago my new friend Mida (HIII MIDA!) showed me how to crochet. This becomes important in a moment. Yesterday I was called in to do some work for Fashionably Dead. 5 hours of sitting around helping people try on clothes or find items. Groovy. C’ept on sundays its pretty dead (harhar, you should all go on sundays). Then today I was called in to be an extra in a movie that is being filmed in Halifax, another 12 hours of sitting. So I took my crocheting with me. I now have: 1 penguin, 1 panda, 1 owl, and 1 ninja. I am made of awesome. I have a second panda started, and a robot on the mind for a certain button. I also showed Britta how to knit today which she enjoyed. Her scarf ended up looking like it had survived a neuclear holocost though which was kind of funny.

Now if only I can find enough time to get my eyebrows waxed before my job interview, and to get my shit together for the OCMS I am set.

Images to come soon

*evil laughter*

Earlier in the week, my boss called and asked “Hey can you have the paintings ready by next sunday?” “… sure?” so on wednesday I am finally having an art show opening. I am very excited, and nervous, and sad (that Laura wont be there). I am hoping all of the paintings will be done by then and ready to hang. Yikes!

Last night was the second stitch and bitch, at the cafe. Fun was had, as well as swearing. I have learned how to crochet and am making PENGUINS… Someone really should have warned Mida about my mild extreme obsession with penguins before setting me to this task.

As I was finishing work today at the cafe a customer wanted to talk to me. She wanted to tell a) tea tastes better when I make it b) my lattes are amazing and c) I am just plain awesome. Hurrah!

I also got a call about a job! GLEE
