Dress her up, Take her out, She runs back home, She’s like a fancy boomarang

This morning I was scheduled to go to podcamp, unfortunately I did not make it there despite my best efforts. I should have known by the way my morning started just to stay in bed. At 3am I woke up with a jolt thinking I had slept in, however by the time I woke up next I had actually slept in. I intended to be up for 6am but my alarm never went off and I didnt get to the shower til 710am.

I raced out the door to get to the ferry terminal, which is the easiest way to get to the Alderney Landing where the function was being held. No Dice. Ferry Terminals have wacky hours on weekends, because despite the fact that we now have sunday shopping apparently no one actually has to work in those stores that are open, there for the ferry doesnt need to transport people back and forth. Right.

I made my way to the nearest bus stop that would take me to Dartmouth, 820am, but the next bus would be 20 minutes, and then I would have to wait for another bus to get me to the ferry terminal on the other side. Best case scenerio? I would be there as they were closing the doors and I *might* squeeze by into the first meeting. Waiting out side in business clothing in -20(felt like -30) for a bus in a city known for unreliable transportation… No thank you. Instead I came home, took a shower, jacked the heat and went back to bed/reading.

My legs only just reached a comfortable temperature an hour ago. I really wish I had been able to make it, it would have been good to get some face time in, I feel like such a wimp for not sticking around for the bus but i seriously thought that my legs were purple and dead. And I somehow doubt any one would have really heard the speakers over my chattering teeth.

If any one who went has actually made it this far though my gripe fest, do you know if there is somewhere I can DL the podcasts, and if the Legal Issues one managed to cover contractual vs freelance rights to materials?

I am working on yet another website layout. I am procrastinating like you would not believe. I really dislike building websites, or rather I dont enjoy setting them up for the first few hours. After that I am fine but the initial building of the tables and making sure all the content is in the right place drives me nuts until I remember what each abbreviated code stands for and I can actually remember what it says.

In brighter news ad old friend emailed me last night to do some emergency work. Will post images after it’s been approved.

Music is the victem

So far I have gone to 5 classes in 5 days for yoga. Yesterday I had a set back though. I drank 3 (regular sized) tea’s all day and I was dehydrated when I went in. I had a splitting headache half way through and had to leave 15 minutes early so I didnt pass out. I felt like I really wimped out but I got to talk to the instructor afterward, she helped me with my methods. Instead of an 1.5 class today I am going to try just an hour class. I still havent heard back from the Chamber Music Society one way or another on the potential fundraiser though.

Speaking of yesterday, I went to a meet and greet yesterday at QSS. There was  a speaker for PodCamp Halifax there. I will most likely be going, although the speaker did say it was being held at the Halifax Regional Library (which is across the street from me), and the site is saying Alderney Gate Library (which is much further away from me). I am going to have to figure out where it is. I am going either way I really want to go to their Legal Issues in Social Media(scroll down). I think its a good starting point for anyone in this business. Does anyone else want to come with me? Sunday 25th 9am
