It is with great sadness that I mention, I did *not* get the awesome job in Lunenburg. Of course I got wind of it after I mentioned the interview to my boss at the cafe. How degrading.

Prior to the news though I had a pretty effing awesome day. I went out and handed in my notice for this claptrap shit hole I live in. 3 mos til I am out of here. I posted a cheque, and bought myself a new recovered journal. This one is titled “The man who got even with God”. I already have the next 3 mos put in there. I did find however that the same company has day planners and I may get one next time. I am also thinking of raiding my parents basement and sending some to them. Greg always seems unamused when I getone of these books. I am sure they could be seen as a waste of income or a frivolous purchase. I suppose those are the same thing though.

Off to get dressed and serve tea… again.

Yesterday I did an interview in Lunenburg for a company I really want to work for. There are those places that you apply to because they are hiring and then there are the places you spam to death hoping they dont get sick of your letterhead. This would be the latter. They are a ’small’ company, local, creative, and I would probably give my left leg to work for them… but it would then be hard to use their in house gym. Im sure we could work something out.

On the way there I got lost twice. And on the way out I got lost twice and then almost died because I ran a stop sign I didnt even see. Effing lame ass intersections nearly killing me.  Driving stick was so not a good plan.

My friend Kate hooked me up with the UGLIEST knitting basket on the face of the planet. It is so awesome I love it so much. It has a sort of 70’s floral pattern on it. Pictures to come later. When I dye my hair again.

Off to teach greg to make quiche

In the last month I have done several of the things on my 101 list.

- Paint a large scale oil
- Have an Art Show
- Buy a fancy Dress (its being shipped right now YAY)
- Network

If I sell even just one of my paintings, I am going to use the money to transfer all of my film to disk, and print some large scale photo’s. Since I am having another artshow in October with photography I figure I should actually get some of it ready. Whoops.

Everyday I think about writing in my blog, and every day I put it off just a little more.

Last week was my art show which went very well, until they made me talk about my art work. Amanda + people + Microphone = BAD(!!!) Anyways after that catastrophe was done with I got to hang out with my very awesome friends, listen to some very awesome music, talk to some interesting new people and chill the hell out. Afterwards Greg took me out for yummy sushi.

Two weeks ago my new friend Mida (HIII MIDA!) showed me how to crochet. This becomes important in a moment. Yesterday I was called in to do some work for Fashionably Dead. 5 hours of sitting around helping people try on clothes or find items. Groovy. C’ept on sundays its pretty dead (harhar, you should all go on sundays). Then today I was called in to be an extra in a movie that is being filmed in Halifax, another 12 hours of sitting. So I took my crocheting with me. I now have: 1 penguin, 1 panda, 1 owl, and 1 ninja. I am made of awesome. I have a second panda started, and a robot on the mind for a certain button. I also showed Britta how to knit today which she enjoyed. Her scarf ended up looking like it had survived a neuclear holocost though which was kind of funny.

Now if only I can find enough time to get my eyebrows waxed before my job interview, and to get my shit together for the OCMS I am set.

Images to come soon
